My son had a raspberry and vanilla creme brulee that had a good crack on the top. Wait staff were attentive. We were visiting the area and they kindly told us where we could get breakfast the next day when we asked.

Head Chef Jason Su has run the local busy Bistro for the last fifteen years. Jason enjoys bringing a variety of affordable high quality dishes with friendly service to all his diners.
Open seven days a week, Lunch Monday to Friday from noon, dinner 7 nights from 5.30 pm until late. Saturday and Sunday lunch only open for booking 10 people or more. Bookings are recommended so as not to disappoint - please contact us to discuss your dining requirements.

20th October 2012 Two of us had dinner on a busy Friday night.
Pleasant surroundings and excellent service from staff.
Food was so-so - portions quite small. We had the Salmon and Chicken main dishes. Salmon was excellent. Chicken was very dry. And the portion size for both was small - given we were paying $30 each for 2 courses - we had 2 entrees - calamari (ok) and seafood chowder - which was small and terrible - little attention to "seafood".
Restaurant appears to rely on dinners supplementing their mains with $5-6 side dishes of veges. So for $60 for 2 entrees and 2 mains - not unreasonable I suppose. But the quality was inconsistent.
May give them another chance sometime in the future.

24th July 2011 Been there several times and cant wait to go again. Fabulous restaurant. the menu is short, but its worth it. Selection of wine is great. Try the marinated calamari as an entree and roasted chicken breast as main (grilled beef fillet is also good). Creme brulee is fabulous as well. Staff are courteous and cheerful. Make sure you make bookings as the place gets pretty full on weekends. Parking can be a bit of a problem and also watch out for the 40KMPH speed limit.

26th August 2010 This is one of Wellington's classic establishments.
The menu is varied and the food is really good, especially considering the reasonable prices. Also, it is BYO every day of the week and the staff are really friendly.
It also has private rooms upstairs available.
The beef with Bearnaise is exceptional!

5th July 2010 Fantastic food, just out of the city so a bit quieter and easy to park. More vegetarian options would have taken it to 5 stars!
