The Montessori programme focuses on the whole child and as such what we offer to each child is very different to that of the traditional teacher-centred classroom. The classroom is the domain of the children, it is a carefully prepared environment designed to facilitate the development of children's independence and sense of personal empowerment. The children are free to move freely, selecting work that captures their interest. Montessori teaches children to think, not just memorise feed back and forget.
