I recently visited the Countdown on Greerton road to purchase some items which included a 12pack of beer. I had previously shopped at this location and had no problem what so ever using my Canadian Passport as identification to purchase alcohol. I can even recall one of the checkout employees asking a supervisor if the passport was sufficient and had no problems proceeding with my purchase. On this particular day i was absolutely unimpressed with the lack of communication between staff members as i was rudely turned down and made to feel discriminated against. Furthermore I did not like being treated as a child seeing as I am 24 years old and had more then enough identification to prove this. I think the management needs to clarify and or adjust there policy in order to accommodate customers which may be staying in New Zealand without a NZ or Australian drivers license. I could not fathom the lack of customer service i received at the Greerton Countdown. I will not be returning to your store and will be sharing this experience with my friends.
