21st August 2015 Last Sunday morning, August 16th at approx 2:40am, I'd gone through drive-through (as you do), to place an order for both my husband and I. I'd proceeded to drive up to the right-hand side intercom. I hadn't realised that this wasn't working, as there was no information stating or showing this, so sat there waiting until we looked at the, what seemed to be, frozen screen and became aware that this wasn't operating, as well as hearing the voice on the other side taking other orders.
I reversed my vehicle to then order from the left-sided intercom, to place our order.
I 'get' that you will normally receive somebody (at that time of the morning) that 'may' not sound too enthusiastic - nor should I expect this, provided the order and correct change I make and give is received. I've worked in a Sydney based McDonalds' - and certainly understand pressure and patience.
What I really don't appreciate and expect, is when I'm repeatedly announcing my order (admittedly becoming annoyed), to receive my change of $15.20 from my $50, only to be handed back to me - lightly thrown to the point of the $10 & $5 notes, flying to the back and under the van I was driving, then looked at by the management staff lady by the name of PEROSI and then have the window shut on me, and walked away on. Somewhat rude I think?
It was a pretty dangerous move for my husband to get out and chase the flying notes - thank goodness there were no cars following.
I do, however, give a 10 STARS to the 2 beautiful young girls that gave my order. They assisted me in the other female's name but had AMAZING customer service - BONUS! Ironic that it was the 'older' lady that had that awful behaviour and customer service, as opposed to these younger girls - ashamed I didn't record their names. They were obviously scared to get PEROSI to come to the window to speak to me, but were happy to give her name - one would wonder why? Hence the reason I didn't pursue this at that time and have left it this long, due to other commitments.
I am very proud of my hometown Porirua, but rate it a half-star, due to this experience and person, we encountered last Sunday morning.
