The ESOL Assessment and Access Specialist Service is a FREE service funded by the Tertiary Education Commission to identify language needs and long-term goals of adult migrants and refugees. The specialist carries out a personal assessment interview,provides feedback on the English language skills of the client and impartial advice on the educational provision avilable in the Wellington region to meet the person's needs.Referrals maybe by the person themself or by an employer or government agency.
The service supports government agencies, services and educational providers working with people from other language backgrounds.The service is based at the Multicultural Services Centre, Level 1 39 Webb St, Wgtn City and New Settlers' Centre, Cnr Laings Rd and Myrtle St, Lower Hutt.
