4th November 2008 Great down to earth food, the mixed grill is the best I've ever had and is literally piled on your plate - seems kind of expensive for around $18+ but can feed two of you. Most importantly is the only remaining cafe that serves Strong Hold coffee (coffee that used to be served at Brazil, K'rd - RIP Brazil).
14th February 2013 Brunched there 9/2 fast & friendly staff, good food. I love how they've kept that old world charm in keeping with the heritage of the area. A real live piece of kiwianna, thanks. Look out for the old-timer under the floor.

12th June 2011 Very unfriendly place. The owners and clientele are VERY anti children. DO NOT frequent this place if you have KIDS. They have a toy area but its only there for show as they don't like any 'noise' even if its just children playing with toys. This has to be one of the most unpleasant cafe's in Auckland. Recommend NOT to go there, no wonder there are only a handful of people in the place!!!

22nd November 2010 A delightful cozy place. Not a big range of vegetarian option but suggestet mushrooms and avacado instead of bacon in the savoury pancake.Served with green salad on the side.
The chocolate brownie i ordered came warmed with a dallop of cream and chocolate sauce poured over. Decorated with a srig of lavender. Very impressive in presentation and taste. The mochacinno was very different. Lots of body and volume. very foamy and really good flavour. Will return for coffee and chocolate brownie.
