Reflecting the values of Christ, St Columba's School Community will seek to educate the Student spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically.
Goals of the School
The Board of Trustees will ensure that the school as a whole always reflects in its teaching and conduct, the education with a Special Character as defined in the Integration Agreement by providing a systematic and coherent religious education programme.
It is recognised that students are taught that God is Creator, Jesus Christ is God made man, that authority to teach and interpret God's revelation is entrusted to the Church and exercised by Pope and Bishops.
The school is committed to the total education of the students including their intellectual, social, moral, religious, spiritual, aesthetic, emotional and physical growth.
The Board seeks to develop a school community of Faith through prayer, worship, the sacraments and Christian service to others.
It acknowledges that parents are the foremost educators of their child.
It offers a well balanced education including the promotion and development of self esteem, acceptance and appreciation of the individual gifts, efforts, achievements of self and others.
It actively promotes the values in different cultures especially the Maori people in New Zealand.
