The Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society is a non-profit organisation that receives no direct government funding.
As such, we rely on the support and generosity of the community to operate. We are funded by donations from the public and through fundraising events such as Daffodil Day and Relay For Life. We are also extremely grateful for the support of our many volunteers.
We have offices in Hamilton, Tauranga and Rotorua which facilitate services throughout our region.
WE AIM TO PROVIDE:
1. A wide range of support services for people affected by cancer .
2. Education to promote early detection and to teach the public how to reduce the risk of cancer.
3. Accessible and credible information on cancer.
4. Support for research into the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
