An organisation I work for recently booked Cross Country Rentals to provide transportation for 80 children to perform at a concert which they had worked the entire year to prepare for. We received confirmation of our booking, however on the day the bus never showed and despite ringing the office phone multiple times, no one picked up. After waiting in the hot sun for over an hour, we resorted to asking parents and volunteers to transport the children which resulted in them being late and missing all of the rehearsals before their performance, leaving children anxious and in tears. Over the next week we repeatedly tried to contact Cross Country Rentals via phone and email to see what had happened. Eventually Greg answered and without so much as an apology informed us that the manager of the Hamilton branch would make contact. It has now been over two weeks and we have yet to receive any communication. To say I am disappointed in Cross Country Rentals is an understatement, particularly as their actions (or lack there of) endangered the health and safety and well-being of a significant number of children. You have lost a long standing customer as we will never use Cross Country Rentals again.

13th September 2010 We booked a truck for moving a fortnight in advance, and a couple of days out they called us to see if we stil needed the truck. Now when we made the booking, we where informed that we could pick the truck up on the friday avo, so it was there for a early start on sat morning.
So we picked it up on the friday at mid-day, we where never informed that we needed to bring the truck back by 10am sat, and so at 9.30 the receptionst started calling us wondering how far away we where for because there had been such a huge demand for these trucks, they didnt turn anyone away, instead they booked 3 people for the one truck, for one day.
When we brought the truck back we where greated by a verbally aggresive woman, claiming that we where selfish.
The truck was returned before mid-day as was the original agreement, it was'nt our fault that they got greedy, and than tried to prassure us into moving a house fill of furniture within a couple of hours.
I do not recommend this company at all.
