26th February 2011 I live in Spokane, Washington USA, quite a ways away from New Zealand. I'd never ordered anything from outside the US before and was a little nervous going into it. They did, however, have a particular model of a toy I needed that I could not find ANYWHERE else. I made the leap and placed my order. They kept communication with me through multiple e-mails and even called me to confirm shipping information. The toys arrived in a reasonable amount of time and in great shape. Thank you Winkalotts for great service and for the product almost forgotten!!!

29th November 2008 Unfortunately we have had a bad experience purchasing online from Winkalotts. We live in the South Island. We have a faulty carseat in that the buckle and harness system do not tighten around our child (so extremely unsafe to use). When we first dealt with them they put us directly onto the importer and the only remedy they would provide is if WE PAID for the return of the carseat, they would repair it. It would take 5-7 working days for us to have it returned. They would not send a replacement carseat for us to use (how can you be without a carseat with a small child!), or offer to reimburse us for hire costs if we hired one while we were without it. After dealing direct with the importer Britax my husband under their guidance made the changes to the carseat to see if that would help with the belt system tightening. It didn't. Due to the serious safety concerns and serious defect in the carseat we asked for a replacement or our money back. Winkalotts did not respond to email correspondence initially. Only after we advised we had purchased a new carseat since we couldn't continue using the Safen'Sound Royale carseat that was defective, and we now wanted our money back did they respond and still they would only repair or replace the faulty carseat if we paid to send it back! Overall, their customer service was extremely poor and disappointing. It was the first time we purchased from them and will never do so again. So buyer beware, if you don't live in Auckland and are spending a bit of money on a bigger item from them you will struggle for them to provide quality customer service to you, struggle to get them to respond via email (and even a phone call), will try and push your complaint directly onto the manufacturer instead of dealing with it themselves and expect you to fork out money to send the item back and if it is a serious fault with the product won't give your money back. We have been left feeling very upset and disappointed, let alone out of pocket.
