House Of Knives

An ever increasing range of products has made our name a misnomer, as we are now "More than just a Knife Shop!", but House of Knives, a totally NZ owned and operated company, has served the NZ Hospitality Industry and the public since 1987.

We have only two stores in Petone & Auckland and we supply products to trainee and Executive chefs, High schools and Cooking schools and Polytechs, hotels and institutions and we have always been keen supporters of the NZ Hospitality Industry.

Our product range extends from quality kitchen knife and collector's knife ranges, pocket, fishing & hunting knives to Chefwear, kitchenware & cookware. Plus we import beautiful personal care items from Germany " manicure sets, razors and strops, tweezers & nail clippers and an excellent selection of scissors from baby scissors to leather shears, kitchen to embroidery scissors, taper to hairdressing scissors.

We are proud of our brand of NZ made chefwear, made mainly in cotton and including jackets and trousers, aprons and headwear, neckerchiefs etc. We proudly stock Rossi Boots industry footwear, plus many specific kitchen items for chefs and keen cooks.

House of Knives offer customers the chance to try a new Cook's knife at our Demonstration bench before purchasing, to help decide on the most suited style for their needs, and also to learn about safe use, storage and care of their knives.

With many years of experience, we can help you select a knife to suit your needs and budget.
Other items stocked include table cutlery and steak knives, garnishing tools (including a popular award winning Julienne cutter from Triangle, Germany), pots & paella pans, pepper grinders, barware & kitchenware. We have an interesting range of biscuit cutters and bakeware and several styles of popular kitchen scissors.

We stock Eurolux cookware from Germany, USA made ChefsChoice knife sharpeners (great for gifts) and a variety of steels. We also have a Commercial Knife Sharpener suited to restaurant and hotel kitchens.

Our range of commercial grade melamine includes large platters (not as heavy as ceramic ones) and a variety of plates and bowls, trays and condiment dishes and 'asian' canape spoons. Some items are available in colours. Melamineware is great for camping and motorhomes, picnics and BBQ's

We have many loyal customers who regularly shop for gifts or personal items from our ranges of knives, personal care products, kitchen, cookware or barware and Gift Vouchers are also available in any denomination.

We also offer a fast knife sharpening service at very reasonable rates.
