Rotational Moulding is a process which uses polyethylene based powder, heat and rotation to form products in a variety of shapes and sizes. Such is the variety of this process that you can mould something as small as a ping pong ball weighing just a few grams or something as large as a 25000 litre tank weighing 375Kg.


The potential of rotational moulding is vast, the only boundary is your imagination. Not only has the process of rotational moulding come a long way in the last 20 years, but the moulds themselves have also advanced. There are two types of mould used in rotational moulding, the first are moulds which are constructed from sheet steel. (This type is used mainly for basic moulds. e.g. water tanks, rubbish / storage bins). The other type of mould used is made of cast aluminum, These are for more complex moulds such as kayaks and clothing mannequins.
