Elmswood Retirement Village has been a leading provider in retirement lifestyle options for many years. Being situated on 8 acres of award winning grounds allows lifestyle options that range from supporting total independence through to 24 hour rest home care.

Located in the North West of Christchurch, the proximity of Elmswood to many arterial routes makes visiting easy. Our village is located within easy reach of Fendalton and Merivale shopping malls with their choices of specialty shops and services.

We try to truly provide a pleasant, comfortable and secure retirement village environment. At Elmswood, a range of options from rest home rooms, through to fully servied studios, apartments and private independent villas are available.

We have two activities co-ordinators who organise wonderful activities for all our residents. The activities range from entertainer, indoor bowls, outings around the city to travelling to Kaikoura plus much more.

REST HOME
The facility has 54 rest home rooms. We believe it is important to create a homely feel, so we encourage residents to bring along personal items to help transform their individual living spaces into their home.

APARTMENT/STUDIO
There are 34 fully serviced studio and apartments. Each room has their own fully tiled ensuite bathroom with a kitchenette and private outside patio.

VILLAS
Our 35 villas offer a community feel. Where they have the freedom to enjoy themselves without having to worry about looking after the garden or maintenance.

NEW VILLA
We have just completed building 10 new Villas on the property adjust to our Village.
When the project is finished there will be 33 new villas plus a new community centre will have a indoor swimming pool, cafe, library, gym and theatre room which is for everyone to enjoy. We are planning to build the community centre in Stage two.
