13th January 2015 We went to the Raspberry Cafe for breakfast, I ordered the hot cakes they were ok but didn't have enough bacon and they were a bit light on the maple syrup so they were a bit dry. My daughter also had a half portion of hot cakes but refused to eat them (fussy 2 year old) and my husband had french toast. When we went to pay, an extra meal was added to our order but we were not given a full receipt as when I received the receipt it was just an eftpos receipt so we were unaware of the extra charge. I thought the cost was a bit high for breakfast so I checked the amounts on their website when we got home and confirmed we were over charged. Be warned, ensure that you check what you ordered is what you pay for, as you will be lucky if you receive a refund.

4th March 2011 My initial impressions of this cafe was that it was very tranquil in it's country setting, and it breathes stress relief. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was devine and truely I didn't want to leave. It is now my favourite place to take people for a special brunch or lunch.

8th February 2011 I won't be back for several obvious reasons.
1) When we arrived we noticed that, I'm not exaggerating, ALL of the tables had dirty dishes on them. Even tables with people still there having a drink were dirty. At no point did anyone clean them, even when the people left and new ones arrived.
2) The food was O.K. but rather pricey for what it was. Carrot cake for desert was not cooked properly.
3) The dishes and cups were not very clean
4) When one of us went inside to order deserts, a rather large cook was standing behind the counter eating ice cream. My friend stood there for a few minutes in plain view but the cook did nothing. Friend asked for the carrot cake and the cook said she wasn't going to serve her and called for someone else to come and serve! When no one came, even though they were just off to the side of the counter, the cook said she'd rather wait than serve my friend.
All she had to do was put a piece of cake on a plate!
5) They had some Gluten Free options which was nice, however my friend, who suffers from Coeliac's disease (severe gluten intolerance) noticed that staff used the same tongs to handle the gluten free and normal food. This can cause a Coeliac to be in the most excruciating pain for quite some time and includes severe cramping, swelling, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and in extreme cases, miscarriages!
The staff, and possibly the owners/managers who should train the staff, obviously have NO idea what 'Gluten Free' really means.
The only positive thing we could think of for this review was that the setting is nice with outdoor seating, trees and shade.
Apart from the one large cook, the staff seemed friendly however they just didn't know how run a cafe.
The cheap plastic chairs are an accident waiting to happen however.
All in all it 'could' be a very nice place however they are severely let down by staff that simply have no clue on how to run a cafe! The staff all seemed very young.
Even a decent manager on site to direct the lazy staff would be a huge improvement but we saw no evidence of that.
So if you're Gluten Free or don't have the patience of a mountain then this place is to be avoided.

16th November 2010 We sat outside at one of the many tables, admiring the beautiful gardens and enjoying the tranquility of this almost rural setting. Trying to decide what to eat was a challenging task, with such a great selection of cabinet food. The carrot cake is a must - beautifully presented with a choice of yoghurt or cream and strawberries, best I've ever had. Good coffee too. We'll definately be back with our friends.
