12th January 2011 I was excited when I stopped at prawn park for lunch on my way back to Auckland after a 3 day road trip, I always really enjoyed the freshly steamed prawn from the restaurant, unfortunately their standard had an obvious slip since couple years ago. About half of the prawn from my 1/2 kg platter of 'freshly steamed prawn' was steel and mushy, it was worse than the frozen ones you can get from the super market, I will not return again unless the quality improves, very disappointing experience from the restaurant that suppose provide their customer with 'freshest prawn' straight from the park. instead, the prawns tasted like they were dead for a few months! :(

27th January 2009 Thought this would be a great treat to take my partner to as we both love prawns, unfortunatly we were both very disappointed.
No exageration in saying it was the worst prawn meal I have had. My partner decided to have the prawn curry, which after ordering we saw two people in the resturant leave, after ordering the same thing, with the plates barely touched.
It arrived and tasted straight out of a jar although there was a decent amount of prawns in it.
I ordered the prawn chowder which was an dull orange, tasteless soup which had the consistency of wallpaper paste. The bread roll that accompanied it was very nice.
We left the resturant will full plates and empty stomachs and the stung us $39.
Very disappointing!
