Connectrix was started in 1999, as a company to primarily build the Saturn underground network (now Telstra-clear) in Wellington and outlying suburbs. As this was happening the company was asked to expand and start on the Christchurch build in the South Island. As the main build was progressing, Connectrix won the right to start on the domestic and commercial underground connections. This work is still being worked on today and as long as people continue to build and move locations, the work should continue for some time yet.
From this start we grew and trained ourselves to install Gas networks, power, telecom and water systems for councils, state owned enterprises, property developers and private customers.
We are qualified in all types of underground technology, installing
* cable networks for power,
* telecommunications and pipe installations for gas and water systems.
To achieve this we have and own
* Excavators,trucks and all associated necessary machinery to trench the traditional way,
* Have Reinstatement crews to do all in house asphalt laying
* Can design and implement all traffic management to all levels
* We have a huge range of all the common sized moles (thrusters) and
* We use horizontal drills (Trenchless technology).
We can manage our work from start to finish. We have a staff of approx 30, that can in house, plan, design, manage, provide a service equal to none other.
