Gribbles Veterinary - Christchurch is located in a new purpose built laboratory in the centre of Christchurch. Gribbles Veterinary - Christchurch is an IANZ accredited laboratory that provides pathology testing for both rural and urban veterinary clinics. The main customer base is in the South Island, roughly from Oamaru northwards. The laboratory processes in excess of 25,000 cases each year from over 100 individual veterinary clinics. Half of these cases are from small animals the remaining cases are from large animal clinics, zoo animals or feral animals.
The laboratory also participates in surveillance / control programs for Bovine TB, TSE and Varroa bee-mites. This service is provided through a multi-disciplinary service for Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Parasitology and Cytology/Histology supported by a team of 8 Laboratory Technicians and 3 Veterinary pathologists.
