At Andrews and Gilmore Panel and Paint Limited we have been in the business of repairing vehicles since 1986.
Roy Andrews, the owner, has 45 years experience since entering the industry at the age of 15 as an apprentice at Amuri Motors obtaining his trade certificate and advanced trade certificate. In 1986 Roy left his position as the manager of the paint and panel shop at Amuri Motors to open his own business, Andrews and Gilmore.
At Andrews and Gilmore we are an innovative vehicle repair shop which was the first business of its kind in the South Island to ditch the fume-heavy aroma of traditional solvent paints for organic water based paints which are better for the customers, staff, as well as the environment. We take our responsibility to the environment seriously and in 2011 became one of a few paint and panel shops in New Zealand to become Carbon Neutral.
In upgrading to water based paints, we have chosen to work with Glasurit, the leaders in the field who first developed the technology. By doing so, we can provided our valued customers with a life time guarantee on their paint work, as well as the full technical support of the global Glasurit company. It is all part and parcel of the way we at Andrews and Gilmore stay ahead of the competition by regularly investing in the latest technology and know how.
In fact, as the chosen Christchurch paint and panel shop for BMW, Roy and panel technician Alec Brownlee are the only two men in their field in the South Island to be trained by the German marque and are regularly called on by other paint and panel shops for technical advice.
We are known for customer satisfaction, the high quality of our repairs and keeping up with technology. It is all about having the right equipment and training to get vehicles back to their manufactures specifications.
