13th October 2010 My young dog, Ollie (12 months) and I have been training with Dog Guru since he was 2.5 months old. We have done a mixture of 1-1 and group sessions (beginner, intermediate and advanced) over this time.
Dog Guru has a wealth of knowledge and a great ability to pass this onto owners. I have found the sessions to be of great benefit, not just for my pup, but more importantly for me - teaching me how to 'talk' to my dog in a way he understands and can learn from.
All the sessions we have attended have been invaluable - with practical classes that provide real world practice and the opportunity to train the dogs off lead.
Dog Guru has enabled me to be well on the way to a having a well adjusted, nicely trained dog.

12th October 2010 A while ago we decided to adopt another dog from a Dog Protection agency - a lovely girl who had had an unfortunate start in life. She settled in really well, bonded well with our existing dog,and we all loved her. However she did have a couple of annoying habits which we found really hard to break. Small things but they started to have a negative effect on our day-to-day lives so we decided we needed to do something about it. Around the same time we took part in the Champ Wag n Walk and while there met the Dog Guru. We chatted for a while and he seemed confident he could solve our problems so we decided to invest in a one-on-one session ( we had a discount voucher which helped). He visited our home, spent some time discussing the problem in detail and then showed us what to do. Within 15 mins of him working with our dog the problem was solved. If it hadn't been such a relief it would have been embarrassing.
Since then we have done Group Training sessions - intermediate and senior for our dogs, which i really like as they teach you to have more of a "dogs eye view" of the world, and work with their natural instincts and behaviours, rather than trying to force a slavish obedience - it's nice , Dog Guru is all about you and your dogs having a good time together.
