At Martin Bosley(TM)s our food philosophy is based on some very simple beliefs: Eat what(TM)s in season, what(TM)s local, and what(TM)s fresh.
We also believe food should please the eye as well as the palate.
Our fabulous waterfront location, which offers panoramic views of Wellington and its harbour, is the perfect setting for a restaurant that specializes in seafood.

22nd August 2011 Experienced this restaurant as part of Wellington on a Plate $45. I would have expected this restaurant to use this as an advertising exercise to encourage repeat business.
We were told that there were only 4 Hamburgers (at $28 each) available. Shortly after ordering 3 for our table another table recieved 2!
Quantity of food delivered was low relative to the price paid.
Quality of food was very poor considering the reputation, 3 pieces of poorly cooked curled up fish, a table spoon of risotto.
The wine was nice. Water provided was great to, fresh and clear.
Would I go back NO NOT EVER. Recommend it afraid not.

1st April 2011 I couldn't fault a thing. Service was perfect and the presentation great also. The food is absolutely fantastic, the best I've had in Wellington.

25th September 2010 a typical wild and winty wellington night complete with hail, but the welcome from the staff was warm and welcoming made up for the incelement weather.
The restaurant is in the old yacht club and the view would be spectular ,but tonight was rained out and so the focus would be on the food -and what food it is.At first the mains look expensive (@ $47)but with the generousity of the chef's gifts to the diner looks like a bargain it is.
It starts with an compliamenty cocktail based on a mini singapore sling and then a delightful amuse bouche of tuna ,white grapes ,anchoives
and lemon dust.Unlimited homebaked bread completed the start of a meal paced to the minute.
The main was discribed as furred and feathered and was full of bold and full on flavours.
Next was the highlight of the meal the desert platter -six mini best off -stand out was the apple creme bullee with lychee foam and a calvodoes soaked rum baba.
For even more and great value would be the degustion menu that I saw coming to the table next to me.
the menu and service reflects the chef ,generous ,big hearted and refined
A top nz restaurant well worth facing the weather for
