We provide Executive Medical Assessments and other preventive medical evaluations on people who are well and who want to stay well !! Think of it as a Warrant of Fitness on your body. These very comprehensive health assessments provide a means of detecting health problems at the earliest possible stage - looking particularly for early warning signs of heart disease, cancer or possible stress-related disorders. The continuous monitoring of electrocardiograms (ECGs) and blood pressure during treadmill exercise is a particularly powerful tool for revealing latent or early heart disease. A very thorough (45-60 minutes) clinical examination by one of our doctors includes listening to the heart and lungs, checks for skin cancer, prostate examination for males over 45 years of age, breast examination for women (by a woman doctor). The Executive Health Evaluation includes a wide range of blood tests (cholesterol, blood glucose, thyroid hormones, blood count and iron levels, liver and kidney function tests, tests for prostate and bowel cancer) and urine analysis. There is a thorough review of results with each client which includes a full description of what we measured and what your results are, but also includes information on nutrition and weight management, stress management, muscular strength and flexibility or aerobic fitness as individually appropriate. Advice is also given on additional investigations such as chest x-ray, mammogram, colonoscopy, or bone-density assessment as required.
