Kiwi originals bands 'opshop', brothers 'James & Donald Reid', even 'Atlas' played at the diamond bar in 2007. It went off! Great venue. I hope my band 'The Steve Parr Slide' gets the chance to play there one day soon:-)

Diamond Bar is the latest attraction at New Zealand's first Casino. Located in the heart of Christchurch Casino, Diamond Bar offers a complete entertainment experience. Come see the hottest musicians, bands, and DJ's live Thursday to Sunday nights. While you are there, why not try your luck on the tables or on one of the slot machines around the Casino?

Diamond Bar is an exciting fusion of old and new. Plush leather seats, sparkling granite walls, and velvet finishes unite for sophisticated and elegant surroundings. Our lunch menu offers a variety of light dishes, ideal for meetings, tourists, and local diners seeking a casual lunch.

The Velvet Room in the back of Diamond Bar is available for functions. Suitable for birthdays, cocktail parties, or any function requiring a stylish setting. Exclusive use of the Velvet Room is suitable for anywhere between 50 and 100 people. Catering and additional entertainment facilities are available on request.

Open seven days. Mon-Thurs 3pm-Late, Fri-Sun 11am-Late.
