5th October 2007 I think their is too much emphasis put on American slang and culture which is spoiling it for those maori who are trying to revive their culture and promote maoridom. I think more emphasis should be put upon things maori which is why we put in place things like Te Kohanga Reo and Kura Kaupapa Maori. It would be more rewarding to hear the announcers on the radio who have got a wider range of promotions to really think about what they are doing and saying because the rangatahi of Aotearoa are such idols that they are almost pressured into thinking and behaving more like the young thugs of America. If there is to be less violence in the world, this radio station could make a huge difference in N.Z. if they stuck to promoting things N.Z. pakeha or maori because they have the means to reach so many people mostly young and they would be more respected by older people. I beleive that Tahi FM should think kiwi only and forget about American influences. Stick to the music only.
