9th January 2012 On 28/12/2011 toll freight picked up from Briscoes Blenheim a consignment to be delivered to a adress in north canterbury, a distance of approx 250kms. On 5/01/2012 we contacted Briscoes to find out where our consignment was. Briscoes rung Toll Blenheim and got told it would be put on the truck to christchurch that day for delivery to us in north canterbury on friday 6/01/2012. Phoned Biscoes late friday as had not recieved consignment, they contacted Toll, eventually Toll contacted us a said would be delivered by urgent courier on monday 9/01.12. Yes it was delivered to us on monday 9/1/2012 by a local north canterbury freight company. They even phoned us to say what time they would be dropping consgnment off to us, and they were on time. What we would like to know is why when Toll picked up on 28/12/11 did it take 7 working days for cosignment to reach us. Due to Toll's delay in getting our consignment to us ,Briscoes has reimbursed us the freight charges.Apart from an explaination and an apology we feel that Briscoes should also recieive an explaination, apology and reimbursement of freight charges. We await your responce.
