6th July 2011 Purchased a Jun Air compressor but when it arrived in Christchurch it was in a damaged condition, told it was damaged at senders freight depot in Tauranga, unfortunately the freight company instead of returning to electromechanical to repair they continued to send to us in Christchurch.
Freight to Christchurch was arranged and paid for by electromechanical with their freight company Mainstream.
I informed the boss at Electromech that it was damaged and asked if he wanted me to send it back to him for repairs or if he wanted me to get a price to repair in Christchurch.
He asked for quote to repair here in Christchurch, I obtained the quote and sent on to him at electromechanical which he then got the OK from his transport Company and got the go ahead for repairs.
Got the repairs done and paid for the repairs so we could get the compressor back so we could use it.
Faxed the paid invoice ($115) to him at electromechanical and asked that he could please pay for it into our bank account. After waiting a week and no payment received sent a reminder e-mail to him.
He told us that he wouldn't pay for it until he received payment from his freight company, meanwhile we are out of pocket.
I wish I had refused to receive the compressor in damaged condition and sent it back as trying to help out and make it easier has back fired on me.
Found it impossible to have a conversation with him, he talks over the top of you, wont listen. Checked feedback on trade me and see he resorts to insults.
beware if you receive damaged goods from them, don't accept them and try to help just send them back.
