10th February 2012 A wonderful icon in NZ history! This great hotel is still very popular and has great ambience. We appreciated not only the welcome via the internet but the warm welcome on arrival. All the staff were introduced by name. Our room was comfortable with a top King size bed. All facilities were shared but immaculate. The upstairs hall was a great photo option with me as was the upstairs verandah.
The restaurant was all we could have wished for and the food and service absolutely tops! Couldn't recommend it enough to anyone out of the ski season!

27th July 2010 Terrable!! People where having a very loud party just outside our room in the hall on the night we stayed. Probably staff members because it was the same music and people from the private party that they had the previous night down stairs.. We where woken up at 4am with loud people and music just outside our door and we left at 8am without any sleep and their party and noise was still on!!! We will NEVER go back there or recommend this to anyone we like! Where is the management in that place???!! Such a waste of money!
