27th July 2011 I worked with Al back in the 80's and he was and obviously still is very passionate about his work. A genuine gunsmith who does the lot when making a rifle. Can't speak too highly of this craftsman..just wish he was in Australia. Understands wood, has the feel for it, and has the increasingly hard to find 'eye' for proportion which so many Oz rifle makers just dont enjoy, sadly. Quiet and unassuming but a gentleman and now must have around 35 years experience.

17th April 2011 Allen is a top rate gunsmith. The best I have used in 45 years of hunting and shooting. His work is of an impeccable standard and reasonably priced.
He gives an honest quote and sticks to it, much appreciated when planning a project on a tight budget. Highest possible recommendation here !!!.
