8th December 2009 The quality of the processing was excellend, done strictly according to my instructions. We put 57% of cadaver weight (hook) into our freezer (160,5 kg out of 280kg deadweight)- average expectancy is 50%, by the way. There could be various reasons for achieving less than 50%, like overfat or bony animals, unsuitable breeds etc.

14th October 2009 Our homekill by Coastal Meat Processors resulted in a 60% loss between dead (hook) weight and meat received. 300kg deadweight with 122kg in freezer. No reasonable reason or resolution has resulted despite approaches to owner and local Police.
