Award Winning Bookshop, stunning range of books with knowledgeable staff who read and a brilliant online book store, we are renowned for our book knowledge, our friendly service and our stunning author events.

As well as our lovely shop in bustling Ponsonby Road, we have a secure, user-friendly online bookstore where all our books are carefully categorized and easy to find and buy.

Special orders are our speciality! We'll find the book you want and order it for you, from overseas if necessary.

We post out huge piles of books every day, all over the country.

Our purpose has always been to promote women's writing but we stock lots of books written by men and welcome our many male customers.

We have become New Zealand's specialist bookshop for counselling and therapy titles and often take bookstalls out to conferences.

Our other strong areas are quality fiction, personal development, birth & parenting, teenage issues and gay & lesbian books.

News and events are emailed via our colourful, occasional E-NEWS. Please email or phone us if you would like to go on our database and keep up with all things book-related.

We have won lots of awards over the more than 28 years we have been operating.

This is one of my top bookshops in Auckland. The staff are both passionate and knowledgable about books. They are exemplary supporters of New Zealand books, not just with the range on their shelves but in the events they organise. Their annual Ladies Litera-tea showcases the terrific range of writing that NZ women are publishing (I came out buzzing!), and in store you will also find gems that NZ men are publishing too. Carole Beu is one of our book taonga.

Well read staff who can recommend the right book for anybody - a great selection of fiction, children's books, lifestyle and therapy titles. The perfect place to find a good book. Not to be missed when visiting Ponsonby Road. Also a helpful website and glossy newsletter.
