8th December 2010 I went there on a quiet Wednesday afternoon for some lunch. On the brunch menu I had a fantastic Chili chicken linguini which was lovely and creamy even though a little too spicy for me. Service was nice and attentive and prompt. They poured me water, offered me cracked pepper etc and had a good knowledge of the menu with great suggestions. Recommended for a lunch and maybe even dinner. I saw them laying up dinner tables which looked rather posh.

17th November 2010 My friend and I decided to go to The Elm for brunch as we had not been there for a while. Our waiter was friendly but overly attentive so we didn't really get to relax. My friend odered kumara hash with spinach, bacon and a poached egg while I odered a kedgeree. We both prefer soft poached egg but didn't get that and the meals weren't exactly hot (temperature-wise) so rather disappointed. Not sure if it's a new trend but why would anyone wanna serve garlic bread with rice? Double the carbs?!

4th November 2008 Great service, excellent food and brunch, lunch and dinner are all worth the visit. Handy to the University, and the rose gardens to walk off all the good food.
