2nd September 2010 We visit Origins on a regular basis, mostly after catching a mid week movie at the near by cinema, which we did again this week for "date night"
We find the food scrumptious. Our favorites are their Steaks which are always cooked to perfection. The Fish of the Day with its citrus sauce is delectable and of course you can not go past their large Pizza's, if there is any left over they will happily put in Pizza box for you to enjoyed the next day.
The meals are very reasonable, though if you shop at the nearby Countdown you may be lucky enough to score a "Two for One" voucher at the back of the till receipt, making their first class, tasty, meals a very good value night out, especially in these tough times.
I thoroughly recommend this restaurant, which is only 20min away from Auckland City.
1st January 2015 We went out to Origins Restaurant for New Years Eve dinner and were disappointed with the meal. I had the Pork Belly which was very dry, and the vegetables were very watery in flavour. My wife had the salmon which was good, but again the vegetables were very watery in flavour. The meal was well below their usual standard. The chicken nibbles for our 7 year old was much tastier than both our main meals.
When I advised the waitress about the meal, she said she had passed the information on to both the chef and the manager. My wife and I were expecting to get an apology or at least a comment from the manager, but nothing.
The dessert was better, but again, not what I would call wonderful. The entire meal was very disappointing. We are not planning on returning.

16th February 2012 Origins is one of my favourite restaurants in West Auckland.
The service here is always good and friendly.
The menu is great, got to love their pizza range which will always fill you up with plenty to take home and enjoy the next day!
Sometimes it seems to take a little bit too long for meals to arrive - but when they do they are always well-cooked and enjoyable to eat.

18th July 2010 Great place to go for a meal. Friendly service and great pizzas. Not too noisy, plenty of parking and
good wines. Great place for the family to visit.

13th July 2010 Good local restaurant/bar. I have been here a few times on a weekend afternoon with my husband. It is a nice venue, good pizzas and burgers, good prices.
I have also caught up with some girlfriends for a wine on a week night and it was a great place for that too.
