25th April 2011 We stayed for 2 nights between Christmas and New Year 2010 to attend a wedding. We have stayed at a number of different styles of accommodation both in New Zealand and overseas so are able to provide a valid review.
Overall the experience was disappointing for a variety of reasons including:
an exterior light that did not shut off until midnight (we were unable to control it)
curtains that did not meet and thus did not close off the light
no eft pos
live cochroaches everywhere (a serious hygiene concern)
butter and jam left uncovered in a cupboard
insufficient bread provided for breakfast
tired decor
extremely overpriced
The proprietors were a polite couple.
