Mudbrick Vineyard and Restaurant is a beautiful Auckland restaurant on Waiheke Island, just 35 minutes from the central city. Relax and enjoy a lunch, dinner or wine tasting in our beautiful vineyard by the sea.
"We are not 3rd generation vineyard descendants, and we are not trained chefs with 20 years' experience. We have grown our business with one major philosophy uppermost in our minds - we operate from a customer's point of view - and we believe it works.
We hope when you visit, you will enjoy The Mudbrick as much as we do. We are proud of what we do, and we know you will feel transported into a different world. The Mudbrick has its own heartbeat - and has a lovely feel surrounding it when you visit."
* Wine Tasting: from 10.30 am to 5 pm (summer season)

Truly amazing experience, the food, the wine, the ambience just perfect. I have to say the most amazing service, the staff excelled on every level. I absolutely recommend this venue for lunch, dinner or something bigger.

People had told us Mudbrick was over rated. A 7pm booking watching the sunset, it was one of the most romantic dining experiences we have ever had. We ordered 2 entree's and two mains and one dessert. Each was culinary perfection, beautifully presented, so fresh, such quality ingredients. Nothing was compromised. My husband asked for his steak blue, and it was absolutely perfect (very hard to achieve). Portions were perfect, but you do need to order at least 1 side between two for the average eating couple. Tip, just buy glasses of wine, and see what you like, then come back the next days for a coffee and buy from the cellar door. The mark up in the restaurant for the bottle is pretty high!

Very impressive. The food was amazing, well presented and very tasty. I really appreciated the fact that they had knowledgeable staff who were able to help match wines to our food. The location and views back into Auckland city really make this place a top notch experience.

Our party of six were celebrating a 50-something birthday on a dreary mid-winter night and the gracious staff at Waiheke's fabulous Mudbrick couldn't have been more welcoming. We were nightmareish customers - arriving late, taking our time to order and then staying on after everyone else had left. Our waiter showed no sign of wanting to hurry us up - quite the opposite, we were absolutely encouraged to linger by the fire long after we'd finished eating. The food was fabulous; absolutely world-class with a view across the harbour to match. My lovely French husband, who has a life-long commitment to critiquing anything on a plate, was a happy and satisfied customer, as were we all. The only thing they are missing is on-site accommodation. We'd probably still be there.

We did christmas here and wow what a treat, we were taken on a tour of the cellar and talked through the different aspects of their wines. The Wine Master then took us out to the vineyard to show us the plants - dinner was divine, a real special treat

Went to Waiheke Island for a day trip with my bunch of friends, this is a last minute plan. We just came here for first time and was winery hopping around and stop from 1 to another. Our final stop is here in Mudbrick. So, after so many vineyard we visited, we thought that this is going to be similar with the rest of the vineyard. Low and behold, we were mesmerized by the beautiful view and landscape you can see here, beautiful vineyard, cozy settings of the outdoor and indoor of the restaurant. Most important is the Wine and Food is amazingly stunning! Must stop at here if you are visiting Waiheke!

One of the best fine dining restaurants in New Zealand, with one of the best views imaginable. Make sure you're here late afternoon, to look back to Auckland City and see the sun go down. Stunning food. Perfect too on a hot sunny day, with a bottle of rose on the patio outside. Romantic, inspiring, delicious - a favourite.

Got married at the Mudbrick and it is simply stunning. The wine is outstanding (Chardonnay is the best) the view is to die for, atmostphere is sophisticated yet chilled. In my opinion it is one of the best Vineyards in the world! I think their menu is a bit over the top recently but their platters are fantastic. Recommended for sure!
