9th May 2010 I was recently in New Zealand visiting from the UK when I went to Cafe Rossini with some Kiwi friends. Throughout my stay I had found customer service in the country amazing, everyone was so friendly and polite, so I was appalled at the way the manager treated us.
After ordering some coffee and cake to take out my friends decided to eat in as I was doing so, so let the staff know. We waited ages for their food to arrive so in the end had to go in and find it. A few minutes later the manager came out and started ranting about how they''d wasted some cake. She made absolutely no sense and then stormed off. A few minutes later she was back ranting again and eventually angrily told us that as the they'd change the order to eat in the waitress had decided to serve them a new slice of cake not the one in the takeout bag (we didn't ask for this, they would have been happy to eat the original cake) however she even waved the bag in our faces to prove her point! What was worse was that she had her outburst in front of our children, who were also incredibly shocked and upset by it.
The way the manager behaved was completely irrational and rude and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

13th April 2010 I had the most appalling customer service from this establishment on easter sunday from the manager that day.
I am allergic to wheat flour(is life threatening/) so am very aware of what is usually gluten free.
I came in and ordered the frittata and til that day I, or nobody I know has ever had a frittata with flour in it. So naturally that is what was what was ordered.
Once i bit into it and tasted the wheat flour I approached the waiteress who informed me that yes there was flour in it.
She suggested I buy something else.So that was when i approached the manager. Her response was well if it wasn't labelled gluten free then it's not their problem. I then asked if she'd be happy to change it for some fries (worth about $1 out of their pocket to keep the customer happy) She replied with" it's not our problem and if i want anything else i have to pay for it"
I then walked out and don't recommend anybody to spend a dime at this place unless they want to be treated in such a mannner which i have no control of( eg: i have not chosen to be highly allergic).
I understand I wasn't totally in the right ( i didn't state my allergy). Her reaction however leaves me no choice but to write my nasty comment
KEEP AWAY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
