Happy with service. Initially I thought going back would cause a headache with the manager *ahem Graham Fox. Its nice now to see new managers who seem to know a thing or two about customer service and are more understandable. However, I hope the previous manager will go out more now that he's a retired old prune.

I was a very regular customer at Premier, spending in average $30/week. After 2 years of intensive use of their services, I found out that they had a discount stamp card (spend $15, get a stamp towards discount). Nobody in the shop EVER mentioned the to me. Eventhough I was there twice every week. Oportunists! And, YES, the Manager/owner definetely need to learn some manners.

I get my drycleaning done with premier every week and never had any problems. The girls that work there are very pleasant to deal with regularly. The only complaint would be the extremely rude manager and owner that ive luckily only had to deal with on occasional visits

Ridiculously BAD service, DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE!!!! I took in a $400 woolen dress to be dry cleaned. I had only worn the dress twice and never been washed, so I thought I would get it dry cleaned instead of hand washing it myself, I made a huge mistake by taking it to Premier Master Dry Cleaners in Ponsonby! They reuined my dress, there are piling all over the dress, the dress has faded and it has shrunk!! The girl at the counter agrees that it was in an awful state and was very apologetic, she informed me that she would get the manager to call me. 2 weeks has passed and I still haven's heard from him, even after calling a few times and going in to the store several times no communication was made by the manager.

DISGUSTING SERVICE...NEVER EVER GO HERE!! Ruined a brand new $500 jacket, refused to give a receipt, refused to discuss the issue and told me to leave the store. The Manager is soooo bad, doesn't know what customer service is. They totally stained the white jacket and told me it was my fault. If this was true, surely he would have had me sign a form saying the jacket was completely covered in yellow stains when I first took it in...Premier Dry Cleaners in Ponsonby is BAD...Graham Fox the Manager is a rude man......dont risk your clothes by going here!

I took a cashmere/silk cardigan to these guys, as it said professional clean only, and now i'm kicking myself. It had some attached diamonte kind of decoration on it and they made me sign a form saying it was basically at my own risk. Which it turned out to be. I picked it up and took it home and then found that not only had the diamote detailing all been smashed up, there was a hole in the back which had been badly repaired in unmatching thread! There was also another very small hole on the front. When i took it back and asked for an explanation the shop assistant wasn't any use. She said she would talk to the boss and get back to me. I wasn't offered a refund for the cleaning price, or offered any kind of compensation. I just wish she had told me that there was a high possibility that it would be damaged and i would have never let them near it. I have taken other garments here and had no problems but will never use them again following this incident.

Update on the curtains. Calls not returned . Eventually after calling them several times ,get a man on the line at the Ponsonby office who does not introduce himself , calls me "lady' repeatedly and says that they get you to sign a waver because they expect your curtains to shrink etc and that the curtains were" too big" for them to press properly, hence the extremely crushed appearance Pity they didn't tell us they were too big before they accepted them for cleaning. Does not even answer the request that someone from their firm comes and looks at the state of these curtains Puts the phone down on me mid discussion. Next day someone else phones me and again does not introduce themselves . Admits that curtains were not properly pressed and packaged and offers to repeat. Says you cannot expect dry cleaning to neccessarily remove stains. ( what none of them ?) I decline, as the ballooned, up and down hemline makes them unfit for purpose ie ruined as elegant dining room curtains. Asks what I want and I answer my money back at least. Refuses because I am pursuing other avenues ( legal, consumer rights etc) and offers me half the dry cleaning fee back if I drop this . I ask for his name and he gives me his first name but refuses to give me his surname because he doesn't " want me ringing him day and night " ! As I have only called during business hours , leaving , name number and issue I wish to discuss , I can only assume this Premier Master Dry Cleaners' employee is being pursued by other irate customers. Phone the Ponsonby office again and ask for name(s) of owners /directors of the firm . Apparently they are not allowed to tell their customers that information. I can always find this out from other sources but seems a little strange. So we have a partial admission of an unsatisfactory service, an admission that they were not up to performing at least part of the process, and an offer to return half the fee if we do not exercise any of our comsumer rights! Hmmm..........

My husband put our long ( villa size ) curtains into the Manukua Rd branch of this dry cleaners. The assistant assured him they did curtains and that the size was no problem. Wen we picked them up they were packed in plastic bags in a way that they were folded up several times and crushed into the bag as opposed to the normal long drape packaging we have experienced with other dry cleaners. No explanation of any difficulty was given at this time . On hanging the curtains , they were unbelievably crushed. Further inspection revealed the stains at the hem just as before dry cleaning, but worst of all the hems no longer sat on the floor or were even, but were bunched up in parts like the end of an Austrian blind , revealing the lining hanging down and wall behind. These expensive curtains now look appalling and are no longer fit for their purpose. I phoned Premier but the manager was out and I left a message for him to ring me first thing on Monday morning. I phoned twice more on Monday and they said they had passed my message on but still no reply . I eventually got the information from the assistant that the manager was in Ponsonby and hadn't been in to the Epsom shop that day . I phoned giving my name and why I was phoning and he was located. He came to the phone and did not give his name. I asked him if he would come and view the sate on my curtains but he simply talked over me addressing me repeatedly as "lady" , telling me my curtains were too big to press properly and that I had to expect them to shrink. He then put the phone down on me . I wish I had read the other reviews on this site before using Premier Master Dry Cleaners. This episode will cost me thousands of dollars replacing my curtains( though I may yet seek legal redress) This is the worst service both in quality and customer service I have ever received from any organisation and I would strongly caution anyone against using these dry cleaners.

My husband took my beautiful expensive drapes to the Manakau Rd branch of this company. They were lightly stained at the hems and all these stains remain. They were returned in an incredibly crushed state and worse that that they appaer to have shrunk the lining in parts so that the hem is uneven and ballooned. They look terrible! Essentially thousands of dollars of elegant curtains have been ruined. I awaiting a call from the manager as yet . I so wish I had read these reviews before we used this dry cleaner. The previous drycleaner on this Manukau Rd shop was fine and I had not realised they had changed before sending my husband there. I am distraught at the destruction of my beautiful crtains. Beware Premier Dry Cleaners. I could not even give them one star but to get this review submitted I have to give them 1

I took a jacket to be dry cleaned, and when i got it home i realized the stain was still there. i took it back, they fixed it on the spot and gave my a voucher for a free dry clean. Although they missed the stain, they were more than accommodating at resolving it.

I am currently currently trying to resolve a dispute with Premier Master Drycleaners. I took 2 pairs of very expensive pairs (totallying nearly $1000) of jeans in to premier master drycleaners, I had taken them to them before and my instructions to dryclean them NOT WASH them had been followed and the jeans were fine. This time the staff did not follow my instructions and they simply washed the jeans, shrinking them so badly I can no longer get them past my knees. I have called many times only to be treated very rudely by the manager who refused flatly to take any responsibility for the damage, when I asked if this would have to go to adjudication to be resolved or if he was willing to do the right thing, he simply said "Look, I get threatened every day by people like you", which I found rather disturbing. My question being why he had people complaining about damaged items every day? I finally got a letter from the owners with printed out pages of the consumer gurantees act and a letter basicly blaming the quality of the jeans for the problem. I have written letters trying to get this amicably resolved but have had no response. I would not advise anyone take any delicate or expensive items to Premier Master Drycleaners, in fact, I think it best to avoid this company alltogether as there is severe problems not only with the care and quality of the work but also with the customer service, not only do they refuse to make reparation for the damage done to the jeans, but they charged me for a drycleaning service and threw them in a washing machine and then a dryer. This is simply dishonest.

I also had an extremely disappointing experience at this outlet. I took in two brand new expensive mens pull-over jumpers and on collection found both of the pull-overs to be covered in ugly piling and what's more, one of the jumpers also had two holes on the shoulder which had most certainly not been there before. I took the jumpers back and was initially confronted with flat out denial that the damage could have been caused by the dry cleaning process and also flat out refusal to rectify the situation. After repeated attempts on my behalf to get the shop to take responsibility for the damage, they finally agreed to try and fix up the jumpers and send the damaged one away for repairs. A number of weeks later and i still had not heard anything back. I contacted the shop and was told that the jumpers were not yet ready for pick up and that they would contact me when they were. Another few weeks passed and still no word. I finally went back to the shop to try and find out what was going on and was told that the jumpers had already been collected (they most certainly had not). On informing the staff that i definitely had not collected the jumpers yet, they kept me waiting in the shop while that tried to located the missing items and then said they would call me back once they knew what was going on. I never received a call back from them. I have finally after almost 2 months gotten the jumpers back. They still look terrible. Do not use these dry cleaners if you value your clothes.

I have also just had a very disappointing experience with this outlet. I took in a dress to have a stain removed from the front, and when I got it home have paid for the service (shoudl have checke dint in the shop!) the stains were still there. There had also been damage to part of the dress due to careless handling. I was advised there is "no way" with all the garments they process that they could possible advise a customer on picking up their clothes whether stain removal had been successful - but that if the garmet had an orange tag it meant they couldn't get the stain out and if it had a purple tag it meant they would try again. How it is "impossible" for the person at the outlet to explain this point - when the tag is physically attached to the garment I don't know!! On contacting the ourlet I was essentially fobbed off and no responsibility was taken for the issues. I was basically hurried off the phone as they had on excuses and no solutions they were willing to offer. I will be taking my business elsewhere, after I request a refund so that I can take this piece of clothing to another dry cleaning agent. Hopefully I wil have more luck that bangal!

I experienced very disappointing levels of service from this outlet. I had an item cleaned which was subsequently damaged, and store management did not return any of my calls to discuss this for over a fortnight. Once I did finally track them down, they were not prepared to discuss any possible responsibility for the damage, and refused to consider refunding the cost of the drycleaning (let alone the cost of the item).

Happy with service. Initially I thought going back would cause a headache with the manager *ahem Graham Fox. However, I hope the previous manager will go out more now that he's a retired old prune.
