9th September 2011 So far our experiences with Wilkins Formal Wear have been less than adequate to put it mildly. My fiancee and I are due to get married in November and the dress was ordered back in March after she took a day off work to head down with her matron of honour, mother and sister to choose her dress. She was very excited with what she saw and promptly ordered the dress, being told it would arrive in around 3 months. It is now September, we are 10 weeks out from our wedding and no dress yet. We found out second hand that Wilkins had actually ordered the wrong dress, discovered their mistake later, re-ordered the correct dress etc but didn't actually bother communicating this to my fiancee. When we enquired about this, we were told that this was indeed the case (amongst other excuses) and they didn't tell us so as not to stress us out (ahhh, fail - too late!), it would definitely be here by the end of August, and they were sorry about the lack of communication and would be better at this. They also told us the dress was coming from Australia and they often have problems with that company. (why use them then?!) It is now well into September...no dress.......no further communication...alterations to dress still to be organised......one stressed and upset wife to be......poor service. If we could, and we had time, we would cancel the dress and look elsewhere. Communication levels need to be looked at, especially for such a special time that is supposed to be exciting, not more stressful!
