The Centre for Research, Evaluation and Social Assessment (CRESA) was established in Wellington in October 1994. Since then, CRESA has consolidated itself as an organisation which provides timely, quality and cost effective assistance in the following areas - social development, applied social and family policy and services, resource management for sustainable social, economic and environmental outcomes, housing and the built environment, heritage and tourism, needs assessment, and programme evaluation. CRESA also provides technical advice and training to the public sector in policy analysis, community consultation, needs assessment, programme evaluation, and social assessment. CRESA has significant experience in qualitative, policy and programme evaluation and survey-based research. It has a strategic approach and an extensive client base including Central and Local Government as well as non-governmental agencies.
