Carbone Lorraine has three business activities in which it ranks as either the first or second in the world:

The Advanced Materials and Technologies division specializes in the applications of graphite and other high-performance materials. They are suited to highly demanding industrial environments, including high-temperature applications, anti corrosion equipment for the pharmaceutical and chemical industries and high-energy braking.

The Electrical Applications division specializes in brushes for electrical power and brush holders for electric motors, contacts for current collection, slip-ring assemblies and signal transmission systems.

The Electrical Protection division specializes in industrial fuses and other equipment providing protection against voltage surges and excess electrical charges.
