Great service!! Was there the week before and the barman remembered what my wife and I drank. Nothing was too much trouble. A pizza and a cold beer after the rugby was great. Well done

GPK Albany, situated on the corner of Oteha Valley Rd (SH 29) and Old Albany Highway (SH 17), is the latest addition to the GPK Group of restaurants.

The new venue offers comfortable indoor and outdoor seating with warm cosy fireplaces inside and out for those cooler evenings. The large bar area, offering fresh beers on tap and a fabulous range of wines, is the perfect place to stop by after work for a tasty thirst quencher or two.

GPK's signature wood fired gourmet pizzas are available anytime along with a range of delicious pacific infused entrees and main dishes. Brunch is served every weekend and public holiday and takeaways are available.

Went for dinner last night with our family for my son's 18th birthday. Very loud, could not talk to each other across the table. Tables are to close together and we we placed right next to the reception desk. Meals were o.k. except they made the wrong pizza for my husband, and served the other three meals and my husband had to wait at least 10 minutes for his correct meal to arrive. Should never happen. Should have given us all our meals together. Will not go back ever again. REALLY ruined the evening for the family. Service was nice, abit slow at times.

The menu sounded wonderful, but in truth GPK Albany disappointed somewhat. The food was fairly good, hearty and often delicious, it was rather the atmosphere which lacked. Before ordering we found a small cockroach on the menu, which was a little alarming. It was generally quite noisy and busy, and the tables were close together. My pasta was a bit salty for my liking, and generally uninspiring. The staff were however friendly, and I think this restaurant probably suits people with kids. The food is better than average and atmosphere relaxed, overall not bad - but alsonot very relaxing.

Love the one in Takapuna but felt this branch was nowhere near as good. Pizzas were a bit burnt, and meat was stingier. Service was very good.

The last two times we've eaten here it's been fantastic. The duck pizza is amazing, and the $25 2 course + glass of wine lunch was quick, and of high quality. The service was friendly and prompt both times. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We love GPK, its our standard for a good, reasonably priced meal. If on a budget we split a pizza, but if we've got dollars to burn, we might get the delicious caramelised red onion bread for starters, one of their delicious salads, a country pizza and a tasty dessert. I took my daughter for her first 'grown up dinner' date night on the weekend. The staff were amazing, commenting on her pretty dress and how lovely she looked. She was in heaven. I love a place where the food is consistantly great and the staff go out of their way to make sure you enjoy the evening. We will keep coming back again and again, as we have for the last year.

If you are thinking of going to the Albany GPK.....DON"T. This place is hugely over priced and the food is a big disappointment. The service was slow and at best confused. We won't be back there are so many better places we will be happy to spend our money at.

I have been to Takapuna GPK and its fantastic........last time i went to Albany GPK it was bad service, bad food and grossly over priced. The waiting staff and management seem to have no idea of how to run a restaurant. Oh well, plenty of other places to dine at. TD

We had a great time at GPK Albany last night, I loved the lamb dish and the pizzas were so fresh and tasty. Our waiter was really nice and service was quick.

We have also been a fan of GPK for years. We have been to the new GPK Albany twice now, first time OK (we were the only people there), second time waited nearly 30 mins to actually get served, then another nearly 20 mins to get our drinks (probably because we'd ordered a bottle of bubbles, took ages for them to arrange glasses, ice bucket etc. Waiting staff were average, and got flustered when we asked for anything slightly different from the menu - basic requests that could have been dealt with using a little bit of initiative. I'll probably still go back, as they are new and probably need another chance... or two...

I have been a great fan of GPK for years. Great consistency and professionalism. I visited the Albany venue last month and was pleased that the great service and menu has continued to shine through in this new venture. The staff were warm and friendly (the manager is charming!!). I will be arranging my next night out there very soon. P.S Also the cocktails are to die for!

I don't know how someone goes about ruining an eye fillet...but Gpk has accomplished exactly this. the sauce was outrageously sweet, which completely overpowered my overcooked meat. we also tried the lamb, which had a strange combination of pork and pureed corn/ tasteless potato, "YUM YUM." We also didn't appreciate the arrogance of the manager in GPK Albany and most certainly wont be returning in any lifetime! however our waitress was lovely.
