Company History
Arc Rite Engineering is the trading name for Astral Engineering Limited established in August 1993.

The Company was originally based in Nelson, New Zealand and worked on the fishing fleet in Port Nelson, mainly doing maintenance and upgrades as and when the vessels were in port. It soon became apparent that there was not enough work for us full time in this industry.

At this stage the Company decided to broaden the scope of work, Looking around we found a small gap in the market for Industrial Refrigeration Installation, with us having ASME VIIII and EN 287 Certified Welders, this fitted with in the Company's abilities, with out any problems. After a few installation it became apparent that getting some one to insulate them after testing was complete, in the time frame that was laid down was a challenge.

Arc Rite Engineering sourced an Insulation contractor specifically for their projects and was based in Blenheim, At this stage Ducting was incorporated in the Scope, With the down turn if the fishing industry, the Nelson work shop was closed and all operations were moved to Blenheim.

Arc Rite Engineering has installed refrigeration to plants through out New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong. As the markets changed, the Industrial Refrigeration in Marlborough reduced,
