25th October 2013 My wife and I dined at Topkapi on her birthday.
We ordered a beef dish and a chicken and lamb dish. Both were delicious. The beef was very nice with the yogurt and garlic sauce - they have a selection of sauces you can add to any meal.
The staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait very long for our meal.
I would definitely go back there again.

22nd August 2010 Really pleasant atmosphere - the belly dancing is a treat and while some of the food is truly amazing.topkapi is a decent turkish & persian restaurant on manchester street in christchurch. They claim to be a Mediterranean restaurant, but seem to focus predominately on Persian and Turkish cuisine.Great spot to pop in for a quick meal prior to a movie. They're fast and the meals are tasty

6th July 2010 I wanted to treat my wife out for a romantic meal.As it happens Topkapi Turkish Resturant was a customer of mine.
I had no problem booking even though it was a friday night and extremly busy. Surroundings were very cosy and service top class.
Not being a huge Kebab fan in the past quickly changed after our experience at Topkapi. Food was hot, yummy and melted in your mouth. It was that good we had to stay for dessert.
Even more we were able to bring our own bottle of Pino Noir.
The price for two very ecomonical at $60 for two.
