28th August 2008 "My wife and I first contacted Continential Stairs back in October 2007 to arrange for a rimu Balustrade to be fitted to our internal stairway by Christmas. I actually wanted to have a continual handrail up the two flights of stairs but they said that it could not be done. I have since found out from other companies and joiners that it is a very simple process and yes it could be done. They installed the handrail in December but one of the fists was a complete mismatch and it was the first thing anyone would see as soon as they entered the house. It went back twice before they matched the fist to the handrail. We had to chase up our handrail for the next two months. They where extremely poor at communication and we had to do all the follow up work. The staff that did come out to our house said that the quality was very poor but the Company management said quote " Oh its a bit hard really" I have photos on file showing the very poor quality of work and for two months we were left with brackets sticking out of the walls. It wasn't until I sent a 14day notice under the Consumer Guaranties Act did I get any reply. This was after several phone calls and emails which I still have on file. I also have photos available. I certainly wouldn't recomend this company to anyone."
