Hadlow is the preparatory, or junior, school of the Trinity Schools, the family of schools of first choice upholding Christian values and focusing on personal excellence. Hadlow is an Anglican, integrated full-primary day-school offering coeducation from preschool to Year 8.
The school buildings are set in five hectares of park-like grounds with well established trees and gardens providing an expansive and aesthetic safe environment for the pupils. Facilities include a Library, Hall/Gymnasium, Dining Hall, Art Room, Science Laboratory, Computer Suite, Music Room and Dance/Drama Studio
The Preschool is an attractive, purpose-built, modern building within the school grounds. It contains a large, airy classroom facility enclosed in a well-fenced playground. The Preschool was established in 1981 to provide a disciplined, structured, healthy learning environment for all children, no matter their gender, race or abilities.
The Hadlow Preschool is different to others in that it offers a more disciplined and formal approach, especially with the English language, reading and numeracy programmes offered.
Each child is encouraged to learn through a variety of activities: formal and structured group lessons as well as by using good developmental and play activities. Above all, children are encouraged to enjoy learning.
The preschool follows the primary-school term and operates daily sessions between 9:00 and 12:00. Each week the staff follow a theme which integrates the learning through the different curricula. Parents may choose the number of sessions per week they would like their child to attend. The minimum number is two per week.
Attendance at Preschool starts at three and a half years . The preschool roll is restricted to twenty-four children daily. The centre is staffed by two qualified early-childhood teachers and a teacher-aide. They provide a well-planned daily programme that prepares the children for reading, writing and mathematics.
