I have stayed at Riverside on many occasions. It is clean and reasonably priced. I prefer the larger units with two separate bedrooms. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen. Lighting in the lounge is a bit dim, and the number of channels on TV is limited. They have recently acquired wireless broadband which is charged by the hour or else a flat fee of NZ$15 for overnight.

It is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the main shopping centre in Victoria St (3 mins by car).

Wanganui's water, though safe to drink, is not known for its good flavour. Take bottled water with you if you are sensitive to the tast of water.
