12th January 2010 Had a platter to share, smoked pates. Delicious! They were a bit light on the crackers to go with it, but happily gave us some more. The setting is lovely, overall enjoyed it but the service could be a bit friendlier.

27th October 2009 I was excited to take our guest from Perth to this award-winning cafe as I had dined there before. There were 5 adults and we chose to sit outside even though it was a little chilly, but the outdoor area was very well sheltered from the wind. The two guys chose Nelson scallops and the three ladies, fish and chips. Four of the meals were delivered promptly and I was told mine was on the way. When the others were well into their meals - indeed, half-eaten in one case, mine finally arrived. For starters the chips obviously had been cooked in a rush as some of them were still a bit hard in the centre, the coleslaw with the spicy dressing was so spicy, I couldn't eat any more than a few mouthfuls, and the two smallish pieces of fish were dry and stringy in parts. The batter was beautiful though and the service on the whole was good. But I was most disappointed in the experience - the prices are not exactly low,I can have a beautiful fish and chip meal at my local club for $13.00 - and wished we hadn't travelled all that way for what we did get
