The Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce is a member driven non-profit business service organisation with over 2,800 members. Its primary role is to assist member's businesses to be as successful as possible. It is the largest business support agency in the South Island and it supports business in its wider sense, including the employers of labour, self employed, not-for-profit organisations, and those who are generally in sympathy with the objectives of the organisation. Its membership is based mainly in the northern half of the South Island. Employers' Chamber activities are divided into four main areas of delivery and offer education, training, advice and assistance in the following areas: Labour Relations, International Trade, Business Advice, Membership Networking. We also provide a range of bulk discount schemes for the benefit of members. The Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce owns 80% of the shareholding in Employers Consultants Limited (ECL).
