Built in 1887 the Victoria Historic Hotel now sits on the lakefront of the old Cromwell main street. It has gone through major renovations in the bar, restaurant and conference room in the last few years. It still has some limited older accomodation, which is to be developed in the near future into 4 1 bedroom, 14 2bedroom, and 3 3bedroom units. It is the last remaining hotel after the others were 'drowned' by the clyde dam.Built of Schist rock the Victoria Historic Hotel is well worth a stop off when travelling from Alexandra,Wanaka or to Queenstown.
