Clubs New Zealand is a long standing representative of clubs around New Zealand. In fact the first meeting of Clubs in Wellington was held in 1896 and the Association now known as Clubs New Zealand was established in 1912.
Clubs New Zealand is located in Wellington and is deeply involved in representing the movement in Parliament, and at national, departmental, industry and commercial levels. Much is achieved by personal contact as well as formal representations on any issue.
Our membership includes over 325 Clubs representing over 240,000 adult club members, and is constantly expanding. We have affiliations with Clubs Australia and New Zealand and the Gaming Machine Association of New Zealand. We also have a number of Associate members.
The Association is governed by a Board made up of representatives of the membership and has five staff members. There is also a representative Sports Council.
Clubs New Zealand provides administrative support, advice and representation for member clubs throughout New Zealand. The Association has a policy of constantly reviewing its membership services and benefits and of continual improvement.
