14th June 2008 I found the service at the Reception office of Oakwood Manor totally unprofessional. I was served by two people.
The first gentleman was helpful but answered the phone leaving us standing at reception until we were served by another man who just happened to walk into the office.
I explained that I was waiting to view a suitable room or rooms for someone with mobility problems but not in a wheelchair. We required accommodation fro 3 adults for 3 weeks from end of June to mid July. He told us to amble through the complex and waved his left arm in the general direction of the stars.
I asked to be taken to the rooms concerned, and was told to sit in the lounge.
We waited five to ten minutes and he came back to me stating " I have been told you want long term accommodation .... What dates.?"
Before I could reply the dates he told me "no Vacancies" He was too Impatient and not prepared to listen to what is being said.....
I found the communication skills lacking in this man.
Extremely Poor Service
