3rd November 2011 Our first visit following a recommendation. Superb and varied food at amazingly reasonable prices. They could teach some of the wannabes over in the Mission Bay/Kohi/St Heliers area what good, and reasonably priced cafe style food is all about. Pity you are a bit too far away for daily visits. We will keep you as a special treat.

4th October 2009 La Tropezienne is more than a bakery - in summer it feels like a holiday when you sit outside in the sun, drink a delicious coffee and enjoy a real good croissant ! The staff is mostly French, very charming and and the whole atmosphere is just very special.
The cafe is very clean but not sterile, the food is always fresh (if you are lucky and you are there very early, you can get the warm croissants straight out of the oven). la soupe de jour , the soupe of the day, is always worth a try, especially the pumkin soup (you gotta be quick, otherwise its gone).
Quiches, Gratins, Crepes are good for a lunch but of course you can get pies there, too.
If you got a sweet tooth go for the Âmandine, the almond croissant, or the little tartelettes. They ve got a big selection.
La Tropezienne is not cheap, you pay for a really good quality - but you get a delicious, and big lunch and a coffee altogether for under 10 Dollars so I think its fair.
Oh yeah and if you stay longer and had some coffees you might want to see the "Aquarium", ;-), well just ask for it. Its worth a visit!
